  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 cloves roasted garlic
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (like parsley or chives)

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: In a bowl, combine the warm water and sugar, then sprinkle the yeast on top. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it froths; this means the yeast is active!
  2. Combine dry ingredients: In a larger mixing bowl, mix the flour and salt.
  3. Mix the dough: Once the yeast is frothy, pour it into the flour along with the olive oil. Stir until a dough forms.
  4. Knead: On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
  5. First rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  6. Preheat your oven: Set it to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Prepare filling: Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread the roasted garlic evenly over the surface, then sprinkle with shredded cheese and herbs.
  8. Roll and shape: Start at one end and roll the dough tightly into a log. Place it seam-side down in a greased loaf pan.
