Description
A comforting one-pan dish featuring tender chicken simmered in a creamy garlic butter sauce, perfectly paired with egg noodles.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs Chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 12 oz Egg noodles
- 4 tablespoons Butter, unsalted
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 cups Chicken broth, low-sodium preferred
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Fresh Parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Melt the butter: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter.
- Sauté garlic: Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Cook chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then place them in the skillet. Cook until both sides turn golden brown, roughly 5-7 minutes each side.
- Simmer with broth: Pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a gentle simmer.
- Add noodles: Stir in the egg noodles. Cover and cook until the noodles are tender, about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Make it creamy: Once the noodles are cooked, stir in the heavy cream and allow the sauce to thicken slightly. This should take about 3-5 minutes.
- Garnish: If desired, sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, consider using Greek yogurt instead of heavy cream. Zucchini noodles could be a delicious alternative for a low-carb option.
