Description

Delicious and comforting bites made from creamy mashed potatoes and melted cheese, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the mashed potatoes, cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped green onions, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  2. Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls or puffs, about the size of a golf ball.
  3. In a frying pan, heat a generous amount of oil over medium heat.
  4. Carefully place the puffs into the hot oil, frying for about 3 to 4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Once golden, remove the puffs and let them drain on a plate lined with paper towels. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For a healthier version, try baking instead of frying.
