Description
Delicious and easy-to-make pizza rolls filled with gooey mozzarella and a flavorful garlic butter finish.
Ingredients
- Pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- Marinara sauce (a good quality jarred variety)
- Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- Butter (unsalted, for brushing)
- Garlic (fresh, minced)
- Parmesan cheese (for sprinkling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle.
- Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small margin around the edges.
- Generously sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- Beginning at one edge, roll the dough tightly into a log, sealing the edges as you go.
- Pinch the log to ensure it’s sealed, then slice into even rolls (about 1 to 1.5 inches thick).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and place the rolls cut side up on the sheet.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant but not browned.
- Brush the garlic butter generously over the tops of the rolls, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and bubbly.
Notes
These rolls can be served warm with extra marinara for dipping. For a twist, try using pesto instead of marinara.
