Delicious and easy-to-make pizza rolls filled with gooey mozzarella and a flavorful garlic butter finish.


Ingredients

  • Pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • Marinara sauce (a good quality jarred variety)
  • Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • Butter (unsalted, for brushing)
  • Garlic (fresh, minced)
  • Parmesan cheese (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle.
  3. Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small margin around the edges.
  4. Generously sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  5. Beginning at one edge, roll the dough tightly into a log, sealing the edges as you go.
  6. Pinch the log to ensure it’s sealed, then slice into even rolls (about 1 to 1.5 inches thick).
  7. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and place the rolls cut side up on the sheet.
  8. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant but not browned.
  9. Brush the garlic butter generously over the tops of the rolls, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and bubbly.

Notes

These rolls can be served warm with extra marinara for dipping. For a twist, try using pesto instead of marinara.
