Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry onto a floured surface.
- Cut the pastry into squares for layering.
- Layer a slice of ham and a generous amount of cheese on half of the squares.
- Season with salt, pepper, and optional herbs.
- Top and seal with another pastry square, using a fork for a lovely crimped edge.
- Brush with a beaten egg for that perfect golden finish.
- Bake until puffy and golden brown, then enjoy!
Notes
These stacks can be frozen before baking. Bake straight from the freezer, adding a few extra minutes to the baking time.
