- 1 packet instant yeast
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup dried fruit (e.g., cranberries, raisins)
- 1/2 cup nuts (e.g., walnuts, pecans)
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Combine warm milk, sugar, and instant yeast in a large mixing bowl. Allow it to sit for about 5-10 minutes.
- Add flour, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, salt, cinnamon, dried fruit, and nuts. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot for approximately 60 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
- Cool on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
