Description

Delightful cookies combining rich chocolate and gooey caramel, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Dutch Process Baking Cocoa
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar (plus additional for coating)
  • 1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 2 tbsp Milk (1%, 2%, or Fat-free)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 10 oz bag of Hershey Caramel Kisses
  • Sea Salt Flakes (optional)
  • Salted Caramel Sugar (optional)
  • Dark Cocoa Sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients in a medium bowl.
  2. Cream the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg, milk, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. Reduce mixer speed and gradually combine dry mixture until incorporated.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill the dough for at least one hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line cookie sheets.
  7. Scoop and roll the dough into 1-inch balls, then coat with granulated sugar.
  8. Place the balls on the cookie sheet, spacing them apart, and add sea salt if desired.
  9. Bake for 6-8 minutes, then press a Hershey Caramel Kiss into each cookie.
  10. Return to the oven for an additional 2 minutes.
  11. Cool on a wire rack.

Notes

For better results, use room temperature ingredients and chill the dough for enhanced flavor.
