- 8 oz linguine or spaghetti
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the linguine or spaghetti according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the chicken breasts to the skillet, seasoning them with salt and pepper. Cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Pour the chicken broth into the skillet, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, and lemon juice. Mix until the sauce thickens slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, ensuring it’s well-coated with the creamy sauce.
- Toss the cooked pasta in the creamy sauce, mixing well to combine all elements.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley for a fresh touch.
Notes
Feel free to customize flavors by adjusting garlic or adding red pepper flakes for a kick. Consider substituting chicken with shrimp for a seafood twist.
