Description

A quick and flavorful BBQ Chicken Pizza that brings the family together, featuring smoky BBQ flavor, melted cheese, and a crisp crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 package pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or chopped
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Olive oil, for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the rolled dough onto a greased pizza pan or baking sheet.
  4. Brush the edges with olive oil for a nice golden finish.
  5. Shred or chop the cooked chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and toss with 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce.
  6. Spread the remaining BBQ sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a 1-inch border for the crust.
  7. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the BBQ sauce layer.
  8. Distribute the BBQ chicken pieces and sliced red onions evenly across the cheese layer.
  9. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  10. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
  11. Remove from the oven and sprinkle fresh cilantro on top before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a crunchier base, pre-bake the dough for 5 minutes before adding toppings. You can use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
