- 1 package pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or chopped
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Olive oil, for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the rolled dough onto a greased pizza pan or baking sheet.
- Brush the edges with olive oil for a nice golden finish.
- Shred or chop the cooked chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and toss with 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce.
- Spread the remaining BBQ sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a 1-inch border for the crust.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the BBQ sauce layer.
- Distribute the BBQ chicken pieces and sliced red onions evenly across the cheese layer.
- Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle fresh cilantro on top before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a crunchier base, pre-bake the dough for 5 minutes before adding toppings. You can use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
